The Role n
This is a hands-on estimating role focused on systems development, master BOQs, display home estimating and pricing accuracy.
n
Working closely with the Procurement and Estimating teams, you will improve estimating processes, strengthen cost control and ensure pricing systems support the continued growth of the business.
The Responsibilities n
n
Prepare and maintain master BOQs, recipes and mini bills
n
Estimate display homes, options and base pricing
n
Maintain estimating price files and cost-centre structures
n
Support variation price book development and maintenance
n
Analyse cost movements, material wastage and margins
n
Review floorplan and façade pricing models
n
Support competitive tendering across selected cost centres
n
Provide pricing support for retail promotions and product releases
n
Recommend improvements to estimating systems and processes
n




Work closely with Construction, Drafting, Finance, Sales and Product Development
n
Liaise with suppliers and trades regarding pricing, rates and scopes of work
n
The Requirements n
n
Minimum five years' residential estimating experience
n
Senior estimating experience within custom or volume housing
n
Strong master BOQ and estimating systems capability
n
Experience across sales, production and BOQ estimating highly regarded
n
Strong understanding of residential construction principles and regulations
n
High level of estimating software and database competency
n
Commercial understanding of costs, margins and profitability
n
Methodical approach to problem-solving and process improvementStrong communication and stakeholder-management skills
n
