Job Description

The State Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the residential garage door operations within the States of Victoria & Tasmania. This includes driving a solid safety culture, achieving revenue and profit targets, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring a robust succession pipeline. A key accountability is to build and align the State Core Business Plan (CBP) with the overarching Residential CBP, ensuring strategic consistency and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities n
n
Champion a proactive safety culture across all sites and teams and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company safety policies
n
Monitor and report safety performance metrics and oversee corrective actions as identified by the Safety Team
n
Drive revenue growth through strategic planning and execution and manage State P&L;'s to achieve or exceed profit targets
n
Identify and implement cost-efficiency initiatives and forecast and manage budgets in alignment with national objectives
n
Oversee daily operations including manufacturing, installation, and service
n




Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery and implement continuous improvement initiatives across processes and systems
n
Lead the development of the State Core Business Plan (CBP) and ensure alignment with the Residential CBP and national strategic goals
n
Lead, coach, and mentor state leadership and frontline teams and conduct regular performance reviews and development planning
n
Identify and develop high-potential talent for future leadership roles and maintain a robust succession plan for critical roles
n
About you n
n
Proven experience in senior operational leadership, preferably in manufacturing or construction-related industries
n
Strong financial acumen and P&L; management experience
n
Demonstrated success in strategic planning and execution
n
Knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems
n
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
n
