Position Title: Participant Support Officer (APS4 Equivalent)

Location: Wollongong

Contract Duration: Initial contract to December 31st with strong potential for long term extensions

In this rewarding role, you will provide thoughtful administrative and operational support to ensure individuals and their families receive the clear guidance and care they deserve. You will play a vital part in listening to participant needs, managing daily workflows, and helping people access the tailored support pathways they require.
Key Responsibilities /n

- Actively listen to participants, families, and stakeholders to understand their needs and provide sensitive, tailored guidance.
/n
- Conduct desktop reviews and transpose accurate information into specialized online systems.
/n
- Manage daily workflow allocations, prioritize tasks, and contribute recommendations to assist the broader team.
/n
- Handle complex participant enquiries with patience, empathy, and clear communication.
/n
- Undertake suitability assessments to help connect participants with appropriate planning streams.
/n
- Make warm outbound calls to participants, providers, and key community stakeholders.
/n
- Collaborate closely with team members, offering mutual support and contributing to process improvements.
/n

- The ability to remain calm, thoughtful, and reassuring when handling sensitive or challenging conversations.

- Sound organizational abilities to manage competing priorities with care and accuracy.

- Capability to interpret and apply policy guidelines and administrative frameworks thoughtfully.
/n
- Experience using computer software applications, including database tools and Microsoft Office.
