Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educational Christian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,800 studentsfrom Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developingcharacter and academic excellence with Christ-centred educationthat nurtures the whole child.

Swan Christian College is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Secondary Teacher to join our team in a full-time position commencing 1 January2027. This is a fixed-term contract forthe full year of 2027.

Key Responsibilities Include:

- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that drive studentgrowth and provide targeted remediation and extensionopportunities.
- Engage students behaviourally, emotionally and cognitivelyin a positive learning environment.
- Monitor progress, maintain accurate academic records, anduse data to inform teaching decisions.
- Provide timely feedback and reporting to students, parentsand College leadership through reports, SEQTA and parentevents.
- Demonstrate genuine care for students' spiritual,emotional, social and academic wellbeing.
- Contribute to College life through duties, events andmeetings while adhering to College policies.

- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christand is an active member of a Christian Church,



living in accordance with the Association's Statement of Faith and Educational Objectives.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with families,College staff and key stakeholders.
- Communicate confidently and professionally, demonstrating outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Manage competing priorities effectively, staying organised and responsive in a fast-paced workplace. Show initiative, solve problems proactively and make sounddecisions while working collaboratively and following direction.
- Holds a current Working with Children Check and valid TRBWA registration, or willingness to apply for one.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

- Familiarity with a variety of teaching and learningstrategies to appropriately meet students' needs and courseobjectives.
- Strategies used to communicate effectively with adults andstudents.
- Experience with a variety of suitable formative andsummative assessment strategies with students.
- Ability to teach Business, Mathematics, PE, and Christian Living is preferred.
