About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to join our vibrant and collaborative Renal Service.
Our team of 20-24 passionate Registered and Enrolled Nurses delivers safe, compassionate care across multiple locations, supporting patients throughout their renal journey.
Our service includes:
- Nita Reed Renal Unit - a 10-bed community and outpatient unit providing care for stable dialysis patients.
- Forster Satellite Unit - a six-bed unit within a private hospital, providing independent care for highly stable patients.

This role offers morning and afternoon shifts, Monday to Saturday, with no night duty and no on-call, providing the opportunity to build your renal nursing career while maintaining work-life balance.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Renal Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to patients receiving haemodialysis.
You will:
- Prepare and set up dialysis machines and equipment.
- Provide care for a patient load of approximately 1:3 to 1:4.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure and weight.
- Support patients throughout their 4.5-5.5 hour dialysis treatments.
- Perform cannulation and develop your renal vascular access skills.
- Provide care within a primary nursing model.
- Participate in daily safety huddles and contribute to a strong culture of clinical safety.
- Monitor patients throughout treatment and recognise and respond to changes in their condition.
- Build therapeutic relationships with patients and support their ongoing wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary renal team.
- Contribute to education, quality improvement and secure clinical practice.
About You
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients and working as part of a close-knit team.
You will bring:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- A current unrestricted driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to delivering safe, compassionate and person-centred care.
- The ability to work effectively within a primary nursing model.
- A willingness to develop your renal nursing knowledge and clinical skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse multidisciplinary team.
- A genuine interest in supporting patients living with chronic kidney disease and undergoing dialysis.
Renal experience is highly regarded, however we also welcome experienced Registered Nurses who are passionate about developing their skills in renal nursing.
You'll be supported from day one with buddying alongside a Senior RN to help build your confidence and clinical skills. Ongoing support is available from our NUM, Clinical NUM, CNE, CNC and CNS, with access to career development and opportunities to grow your renal nursing career.

To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport.
