About the role

Panel Beater: Assess vehicle damage and determine the most appropriate repair methods and techniques. Remove, straighten and reshape damaged vehicle panels using specialised hand tools and equipment. Operate panel beating machinery and welding equipment to repair structural damage. Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding and filling as required. Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Spray Painter: Apply primer, base coat and clear coat. Produce high-quality paint finishes while maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Work efficiently while maintaining excellent workmanship.

Key responsibilities

- Assess vehicle damage and determine the most appropriate repair methods and techniques
- Remove, straighten and reshape damaged vehicle panels using specialised hand tools and equipment
- Operate panel beating machinery and welding equipment to repair structural damage
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, grinding and filling as required
- Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Vehicle preparation and masking
- Colour matching and paint mixing

- Produce high-quality paint finishes
- Maintain a clean and safe work setting

About you

- Current recognised panel beating qualification or equivalent experience in automotive panel beating
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools and panel beating equipment
- Experience with vehicle welding and structural repair techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace
- Strong communication skills and professional approach to customer interactions
