Pressform Engineering Pty Ltd is a 100% Australian-owned, family-run company with 50 years of experience in metal fabrication. Based in Bassendean, we specialise in plasma and laser cutting, bending, rolling, robot welding, pressing, fabrication, and assembly. About the Role

We are seeking a highly driven, quality-focused 1st Class CNC Machinist, predominantly with Okuma CNC Lathe and HAAS Milling experience, to join our team in Bassendean, WA.

The successful applicant will be responsible for producing machine parts by programming, setting up, and operating vertical HAAS computer control (CNC) machines and using MasterCAM software

Qualifications & experience To be successful in this role, you will have:

- A Trade Certificate in Engineering – Fabrication or Mechanical (essential)

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial metal fabrication

- Able to program CNC machines from drawings and 3D models

- Able to program CNC machines from drawings and 3D models

- Experienced in CNC machine setup,



tooling and workholding

- Able to select appropriate cutting tools and machining parameters

- Confident with program proving, tool offsets and in-process inspection

- Able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

- Experience machining a range of materials

- Strong understanding of precision machining and tolerances

- Able to work independently and solve machining problems

- High attention to quality and accuracy

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Create and repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and other specialised components

- Skillfully lay out, fit, and assemble parts to ensure precision, quality, and functionality

- Collaborate with estimators, managers, and technicians to interpret project specifications and deliver outcomes

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to toolmaking and fabrication processes

- Maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and quality control in the workshop
