Ben Laughren Tiling is a locally owned tiling business based in Toowoomba and is seeking someone to commence a full time Wall and Floor Tiling apprenticeship.

This position would suit a school leaver.

This role offers hands-on training on real job sites, combined with formal off-the-job training through TAFE, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Duties and responsibilities

Under supervision, the apprentice will learn to:

- Prepare surfaces for tiling, including waterproofing
- Measure, cut, lay, and finish wall and floor tiles
- Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants
- Use hand and power tools safely
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures
- Work as part of a small team on residential and/or commercial sites

About you To be successful in this role, applicants must:

- Be a recent school leaver or entry-level candidate
- Have a genuine interest in learning a trade
- Be reliable,



punctual, and willing to learn
- Be physically capable of manual work
- Be able to get themselves to and from work sites each day > Sites are local to Toowoomba
- Be willing to obtain a Construction White Card

Desirable (but not essential):

- Driver’s licence or working towards one
