Melbourne Home Assist is seeking reliable 2-tonne van owner-drivers to support delivery operations in Adelaide.

This is an independent subcontractor chance suited to an experienced driver or small transport operator who takes pride in reliable service, safe freight handling and professional customer interactions. The initial operation is planned around two 2-tonne vans, with the opportunity for suitable operators to continue and potentially grow with the business as reliability and service performance are established.

Key responsibilities

Complete scheduled deliveries and collections safely and on time.

Collect freight from the designated depot or loading location.

Load, secure and transport goods in accordance with safety requirements.

Deliver to business and residential customers professionally.

Obtain accurate proof of delivery and report exceptions promptly.

Manage customer communication at the point of delivery.

Complete returns, failed-delivery procedures and incident reports where required.

Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy and suitable for professional delivery work.

Follow fatigue-management, chain-of-responsibility, loading and workplace-safety requirements.

Requirements:





Your own compliant 2-tonne van suitable for the work.

Current Australian driver licence appropriate for the vehicle.

Current vehicle registration and roadworthy vehicle.

Appropriate commercial motor vehicle insurance.

Public liability and any goods-in-transit insurance required for the engagement.

ABN and ability to invoice as an independent subcontractor.

GST registration where applicable.

Strong reliability, communication and time-management skills.

Ability to lift, handle and secure freight safely.

Professional presentation and respectful customer service.

Ability to provide a police check, licence, registration and insurance documents if requested.

Pay: $275.00 – $300.00 per day
