A-Grade Electrician – Solar & Battery

$110,000–$130,000 per year + Super + Company Vehicle + Fuel Card + Performance Bonuses

HP Energy is expanding its solar and battery installation team and is looking for an experienced A-Grade Electrician with strong Solar PV and Battery Storage experience.

This is a hands-on role for an electrician who can confidently run installations, lead a crew, commission solar and battery systems, troubleshoot issues and deliver high-quality, compliant work.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead residential and light commercial solar and battery installations
- Install and commission Solar PV, inverters and battery storage systems
- Complete AC/DC electrical works and switchboard upgrades
- Configure backup/EPS and battery operating modes
- Test, commission and troubleshoot solar and battery systems
- Diagnose electrical, inverter and battery faults
- Complete Certificates of Electrical Safety and installation documentation
- Ensure installations meet Australian Standards, Victorian regulations and DNSP requirements
- Supervise apprentices and trade assistants
- Manage jobs efficiently from site arrival through to commissioning and customer handover
- Assist with service, warranty and technical troubleshooting when required
- Maintain excellent safety, artistry and customer service standards

What We're Looking For

Essential:

- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Proven Solar PV installation experience
- Proven Battery Storage installation and commissioning experience
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience with switchboards and electrical upgrades
- Ability to independently manage installations
- Ability to lead and supervise an installation crew
- Strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance
- Professional attitude and pride in workmanship

Highly regarded:





- SAA Solar PV and Battery Storage accreditation
- Three-phase solar and battery experience
- Whole-home backup / EPS experience
- Experience across multiple inverter and battery brands
- EV charger installation experience
- Previous Leading Hand or crew leadership experience
