About the role

- Connect and care. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally responsive care, develop healthcare and case management plans, and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients on their health journey.
- Connect with community. Build strong relationships with community members and help make sure their voices are heard in the way health services are delivered.
- Share knowledge and grow. Support other health professionals to build cultural confidence and competence, while mentoring and developing Trainee and emerging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners.
- Educate, lead and inspire. Deliver health promotion and education programs, promote safe and high-quality practice, and help create a positive workplace culture through robust role modelling and Queensland Health values.

About you:
- Hold current registration as an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioner with the ATSIHPBA (AHPRA), plus a Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or equivalent. (Don't have the Diploma yet? A supported learning pathway may be available.)
- Bring strong local cultural knowledge, practise with cultural respect and safety, and confidently share your knowledge through cultural awareness support and training for health staff.




- Have experience delivering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care to individuals and families, with a focus on quality, safe and continually improving services.
- Be confident working with different people and communication styles, using health information and Telehealth systems, while helping develop programs and services that meet the needs of the community.

What we offer: Total remuneration value of up to $140,636 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $52.73 - $62.17 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
