NOUSIA finds technologists who are already doing interesting things, assesses any skills gaps you'd need before being day one ready for a mission driven role at a frontier company, trains you properly with AI, and puts you in front of Australia's frontier companies. The training is free for everyone we select.

You don't pay to study with us. We're investing in you.

Our first cohort is cyber security, and we want people who'd rather pull something apart than read the manual.

You already know if this is you.

You may have spent years shipping software, designing networks, managing infrastructure, building data systems or solving difficult technical problems that few people around you fully understand. You have already learned how to work through complex problems, make sense of unfamiliar systems and build things that have to work.

Maybe you fly and build drones. Maybe you write bots for games, reverse-engineer cheap electronics, keep a pile of software-defined radios you're still learning to use, or have a spreadsheet tracking every device on your network. Maybe you've done a few CTFs, taught yourself Linux and networking from YouTube and forum posts, and got further than most people who paid to learn it.

Or maybe your current role is technically solid but isn't using the part of your brain that does all this at midnight.

That’s who we are looking for. We don’t care about formal qualifications, we don’t care whether you’ve used specific tools, or what certificates you have. What we care about is demonstrated technical maturity, curiosity and persistence.

What you’ll actually do

This is an accelerated,



hands-on career transition pathway - not a lecture series. We assess your current abilities and determine the skills you need before you are ready for a mission-driven role at a frontier company. From day one you'll be building systems, breaking them, and defending them.

You'll investigate real problems and work through them without being handed the answer. You'll come out with a body of work that proves what you can do, and that's what we put in front of employers, not a certificate.

The goal is to become someone who can be trusted with hard problems

Why NOUSIA

It's free. Selected participants pay no tuition.

Employers wrote the brief. The curriculum is built from what Australia's leading employers actually need, so you're learning the real thing.

It's hands-on. You learn by doing and by producing evidence of your ability.

It leads somewhere. Cybersecurity, national security, defence and the other industries where the stakes are high and the work is engaging.

The cohort is the point. You'll be alongside people who are just as curious and just as obsessive as you are.

You'd be first. There will only ever be one Cohort 01.
