MMC Advisory is seeking a talented Accountant to join our growing team in Kew, Victoria. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in accounting and taxation. This role is integral to supporting our clients' financial success and helping them navigate the complexities of taxation and financial management.

Key responsibilities

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns for clients across various industries

- Conducting tax planning analysis and providing strategic advice to minimise client tax liabilities

- Managing client relationships and communicating complex financial and tax matters in a clear and accessible manner

- Assisting with the preparation of tax documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations

- Supporting the audit and review of financial records and internal controls

- Contributing to the development of accounting policies and procedures

- Liaising with clients, accountants and other external parties to gather information and resolve queries

- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all work is documented appropriately

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline

- Relevant accounting qualifications or progress towards CPA, CA or similar professional qualification

- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, taxation law and financial reporting standards

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications





- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a rapid-paced environment

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to clients and colleagues
- A commitment to professional development and continuous learning within the accounting field

- Experience in tax compliance, bookkeeping or accounting practices would be highly valued
