About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance Team based at our Perth Head Office in Welshpool. This position aims to find someone with a "can do" attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting and takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail. The successful applicant will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, preparing payment runs, reconciling supplier accounts and assisting with other finance administration duties.

The position requires the ability to work independently while also being a strong team player. You will work closely with suppliers, depot staff and management across our WA operations.

Key responsibilities

- Processing high volumes of supplier invoices in an accurate and timely manner
- Matching purchase orders, delivery documentation and supplier invoices
- Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
- Responding to supplier and internal account enquiries by phone and email
- Preparing weekly and monthly creditor payment runs
- Maintaining supplier records and ensuring banking details are accurate and up to date
- Assisting with month-end accounts payable processes
- Liaising with suppliers and colleagues across various regional WA locations
- Assisting with general finance and administration duties as required

About you





- Previous Accounts Payable experience is essential
- Demonstrated experience processing high volumes of invoices
- Robust data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience using accounting software and ERP systems
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Good problem-solving and reconciliation skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
