About the role

Abrahams Construction Group is seeking an organised and reliable Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at our Golden Grove office. This position would suit someone with strong accounts payable experience who can work accurately, manage competing priorities and communicate professionally with suppliers, subcontractors and our internal construction team.

Key responsibilities

- Process and code supplier and subcontractor invoices

- Match invoices against purchase orders and approved work

- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies

- Prepare scheduled payment runs for approval

- Maintain accurate supplier and subcontractor records

- Respond to account and payment enquiries

- Monitor outstanding invoices, credits and supporting documentation

- Assist with bank and credit-card reconciliations

- Maintain electronic filing and financial records

- Provide general support to the Accounts Manager

About you

- Previous accounts payable or bookkeeping experience





- Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy

- Good organisational and time-management skills

- Confidence communicating with suppliers and subcontractors
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software

- Good Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills

- Australian working rights

- Experience within the construction or property industry and familiarity with Constructor software will be highly regarded but are not essential
