About the role

Climatech is looking for an Accounts Receivable team member to join our Finance team based in Kogarah.

This is a great opportunity for someone with an accounting or finance background who is keen to learn and develop their career in a supportive team environment.

Previous Accounts Receivable, construction or project accounting experience is welcome, but not essential. We are happy to provide training to the right person, including a recent university graduate who is organised, eager to learn and comfortable communicating with people across the business.

You will join a four-person Accounts Receivable team and report to the AR Manager.

What you'll be doing

Your initial responsibilities will include:
- Preparing sales invoices and assisting with progress claims




- Following up outstanding accounts and assisting with debt collection
- Maintaining accurate Accounts Receivable records
- Assisting with month-end processes and reporting
- Maintaining registers for cash retentions, bank guarantees and bonds
- Following up overdue retentions and supporting bank guarantee applications
- Assisting with the monthly cash flow forecasting process
- Working with Project Managers and other teams to obtain information and resolve queries
- Providing general Accounts Receivable and Finance support as required

As you gain experience and knowledge of the business, you will have the opportunity to take on broader responsibilities, including project WIP reporting, profit take-up, retention and bank guarantee management, and project cash flow forecasting.

About you

We are looking for someone who:
- Has an accounting or finance degree, or is completing/recently completed one
- Is keen to learn and willing to take on new responsibilities
- Has solid written and verbal English communication skills
- Is organised and able to manage priorities and deadlines
- Is persistent and comfortable following up outstanding matters
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Has good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Has good attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work

Previous Accounts Receivable or accounting experience would be an advantage, but is not essential. Experience in construction or a project-costing environment is also not required, as training will be provided.
