What you’ll do You’ll be an significant part of our Finance team, helping ensure our Accounts Receivable and Billing functions run smoothly and accurately.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Processing billing, payments, cash receipts, journals and credits.
- Following up outstanding accounts and assisting with collections.
- Supporting residents and families with questions about their bills and aged care fees.
- Processing direct debits, refunds and other account adjustments.
- Maintaining accurate resident account records.
- Supporting government funding reconciliations and processing relevant Department of Health and Aged Care correspondence.
- Assisting with month-end reconciliations and reporting.
- Maintaining bond and loan records.
- Working closely with Finance, Customer Relations, Admissions and other teams to resolve queries and provide great customer service.
- Looking for ways to improve processes and make things easier for our customers and our teams.
What you’ll bring
- 2+ years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, collections or a similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Confidence communicating with customers by phone, email and face-to-face.
- Experience with billing, collections and account reconciliations.
- Good Excel and computer skills.
- A collaborative, customer-focused approach.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Experience in Aged Care, Home Care or Retirement Living is highly regarded, as is experience with Epicor or aged care systems — but it’s not essential. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who cares. Someone who is reliable, approachable, enjoys helping people and takes pride in doing good work.
