About the Role

Are you a talented packaging design professional with an eye for precision and a flair for client relationship management?

We are seeking an experienced Adaptive Designer to join our APAC Transcreation team in Sydney for a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will play a key part in adapting global packaging assets and creative campaigns for local APAC market execution for a world-leading Food & Beverage client.

Beyond your technical artwork and adaptive design skills, you will act as a trusted creative partner, spending time onsite at the client's Sydney studio on a weekly basis to build strong stakeholder relationships and manage design adaptation projects end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

- Adaptive Packaging Design: Adapt global creative packaging assets, artwork, and brand elements across various formats, sizes, product variants, and languages while maintaining visual brand integrity.
- Onsite Client Engagement: Attend the client's Sydney studio weekly, participating in reviews, working sessions, and serving as a direct partner to key client stakeholders.
- Brand Governance & Accuracy: Ensure all designs and production-ready artwork strictly adhere to brand guidelines, market-specific standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Transcreation Team Leads, Project Managers, Technical Artists, and Retouchers to deliver high-quality work on tight deadlines.
- Project Execution: Simultaneously manage multiple project pipelines, balancing competing priorities without compromising quality or attention to detail.





What We Are Looking For

- Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in adaptive design, transcreation, artwork adaptation, or production design, with a focus on packaging and FMCG/consumer goods environments.
- Client-Facing Skills: Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with confidence managing clients directly in an onsite environment.
- Technical Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign).
- Packaging Expertise: Strong understanding of packaging artwork execution, typography, prepress standards, layout adaptation, and brand governance.
- Location & Flexibility: Sydney-based and comfortable working in a hybrid arrangement (WFH weekly onsite attendance at the Sydney client studio).

Nice to Have:

- Prior experience supporting global FMCG or beverage brands.
- Familiarity with APAC market localization, multi-language adaptations, and workflow platforms like Workfront.
