Position Type: Permanent Full Time (9 day fortnight, 36.25 hours/week)

Salary Range: $78,412 - $84,646 per annum + super

Location: Townsville

About The Role

As an Administration Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the Infrastructure and Operations Division by providing high-quality administrative, financial, and customer service support across a diverse range of services that help keep Townsville running. Working collaboratively with internal teams, leadership, and stakeholders, you will coordinate service requests, maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence and reports, support procurement activities, and ensure efficient administrative processes. This is a wide-ranging role that requires robust organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while contributing to Council's vision of Growing Townsville.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- Certificate IV in Business (or similar) and/or significant relevant administration experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative, financial, and secretariat support in a busy environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using financial and administration systems, such as CiAnywhere, CES, or similar enterprise systems.




- The ability to work independently while contributing positively as part of a team.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the willingness to support multiple teams and locations across the division as required.
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety and maintaining a positive safety culture.
- A current Queensland "C" Class Driver Licence.

- The Council contribution to employees' superannuation for contributing employees shall be 13.5% of the employees' ordinary time earnings subject to the employee contributing a minimum of 6% of their ordinary time earnings.
