South Burnett Regional Council is one of the largest employers within the region, with offices and depots located in Kingaroy, Nanango, Wondai, Murgon, Proston and Blackbutt.

About the Region The South Burnett Region is ideally situated just 2 - 3 hours' drive to Brisbane, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Fraser Coast. About the roles

- Based in Kingaroy
- Permanent Full Time
- $72K- $76K per annum + Allowances + Super

Council is seeking an officer to provide qualified administrative service which support the effective and efficient operation of the Planning and Development branch. The role will assist with Planning and Development enquiries and complaints and provide support to the team ensuring a high level of customer service is provided. Assist in the delegation and action of customer requests, complaints and escalations monitoring progress whilst recording outcomes in Council’s corporate systems. The successful applicant will have relevant experience in an administrative role providing high level of customer service in a busy environment. Sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Mandatory Qualifications

- Minimum requirement of a current C Class driver’s licence

Desirable Qualifications





- Certificate III in Business Administration

Skills and experience

1. Relevant experience in an administrative role providing a high level of customer service in a busy environment.
2. Sound organisational skills with the ability to establish work priorities, complete assigned tasks within required standards and meet deadlines.
3. Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
4. Sound computer skills including sound knowledge of the MS Office Suite and corporate software systems.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
