About the Role

Lady Gowrie Qld are seeking talented and motivated Administrative Officer to join our Head Office team, starting ASAP. The role is full time on a 12 month contract to cover for maternity leave.





This position works alongside the existing Administrative Officer and supports the delivery of day-to-day administrative and operational functions across Lady Gowrie Qld. Duties are allocated according to workload, priorities, service requirements and direction from the Senior Executive Officer, with support available from the existing Administrative Officer.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the administration inbox, respond to enquiries professionally and redirect matters to the appropriate internal teams.
- Provide back-up reception support, including answering calls, assisting with general enquiries and transferring calls as required.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, communications and documentation for Head Office as required.
- Provide general administrative support across Head Office, as directed by the Senior Executive Officer.
- Develop, maintain and improve administrative systems, procedures and workflows.
- Monitor workflow and follow up on administrative tasks to ensure timely completion.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative efficiency and service delivery.
- Maintain organisational records, document control systems and electronic filing processes.
- Process and monitor procurement, purchasing and accounts administration activities.




- Manage and order staff uniforms and children’s shirts as required.
- Support workload peaks and provide coverage during staff absences in line with the shared administration model.

About You

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration, or a related qualification, desirable.
- Experience in the early childhood sector, desirable.
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
- High level of attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate records, compliance information and reporting processes.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, email inboxes, databases, portals and electronic filing systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and contribute effectively within a shared team environment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
