Your new role:

In this rewarding Advanced Peer Worker role, you'll use your lived/living experience to support consumers receiving acute mental health care in their own homes.

Key aspects of the role include:

- Provide peer support - Offer individual and group peer support, advocacy and education to help consumers build independence and resilience.
- Model recovery - Share your lived/living experience to inspire hope, support goal setting and demonstrate practical recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with the MH HITH team - Work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high quality care in line with peer work values.
- Enhance consumer engagement - Create creative opportunities to improve consumer, carer and family experiences across the service.

This is an identified vacancy with a genuine occupational requirement that candidates are persons who have a lived/living experience of mental health challenges, substance use challenges, service use and recovery. Candidates must include a statement in their application if they identify with one or more of these attributes. Only candidates who meet this requirement will be considered.
