About the role

You'll undertake planned maintenance, breakdown response, fault-finding and repairs across JBE's customer sites throughout Newcastle and the Hunter. This is a secure, permanent position offering a nine-day fortnight, a fully maintained take-home dual-cab, excellent earning potential and a genuine pathway into a senior position.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnosing air-conditioning and refrigeration faults
- Completing scheduled preventative maintenance
- Responding to breakdowns and service calls
- Repairing and servicing commercial HVAC equipment
- Working on split, ducted, package and VRV/VRF systems
- Testing and commissioning equipment
- Identifying repair requirements and recommending practical solutions
- Completing accurate service reports and job documentation
- Communicating professionally with customers and site representatives
- Ensuring every job meets JBE's safety and quality standards

About you

- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
- Current NSW Qualified Supervisor Certificate or relevant contractor licence covering air-conditioning and refrigeration work
- Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Construction White Card




- Strong service, maintenance and fault-finding skills
- Sound electrical diagnostic ability
- A professional, customer-focused approach
- Good written communication and job-reporting skills
- A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
