The Real Estate & Hospitality Finance, Australia (“REH”) team is responsible for leading origination, development and execution of structure finance transactions across the various real estate asset classes (office, retail, logistics…) as well as supporting the expansion of our IB approach in Australia by growing and deepening relationships within our strategic and targeted clients and ensuring seamless collaboration with global product groups, sector teams and our M&A; boutique.
The Analyst role will play a key role in supporting the origination and execution of transactions. It will support the team in identifying, evaluating and structuring new financing opportunities, gaining invaluable insights into the end-to-end deal processes. It will focus on financial modeling, credit analysis, market research,
and providing transaction execution and relationship management support for strategic and targeted clients.
This role will work under the supervision of the Head of Real Estate & Hospitality Finance, Australia.
Main Responsibilities:
Transaction Origination & Execution Support:
- Assists in the evaluation of potential transactions, performing detailed financial and credit analysis, reviewing deal due diligence reports
- Conducts detailed financial modeling, valuations, and scenario analyses.
- Researches and drafts financial proposals, pitch books, and presentations for clients.
Credit Analysis, Transaction Execution & Risk Monitoring :
- Plays a pivotal role in internal credit approval processes including preparation of internal credit papers for senior management,
- Co-ordinates with internal stakeholders: risk, financing operations, treasury, legal and syndications teams to coordinate loan closings. These tasks include but are not limited to loan bookings, KYC, internal controls and reporting.
- Monitors the existing portfolio, ensuring strict adherence to Natixis' risk and conduct culture.
Client Relationship Support:
- Monitors pipeline management and maintains client profile systems, including updating collaborative digital tools like Nat1, Singular, and OneNote.
- Assists the Head of Real Estate & Hospitality Finance, Australia to prepare account plans for platinum clients.
Syndication Support:
- Supports the Loan Syndication team by preparing information memorandums and coordinating documentation for secondary debt market distributions.
Operational Governance:
- Ensures strict adherence to Natixis policies, local regulatory/compliance needs, and completes mandatory compliance training.
Essential skills:
- Strong analytical skills with proven competency in financial modeling and credit analysis.
- Strong communication skills - both written and verbal – with an ability to work with clients and internal stakeholders across different cultures and time-zones
- Robust organisational skills
- Basic knowledge of the Australian Real Estate market and its drivers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Active user of generative AI tools
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while support diverse deal flow across regional teams (Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Paris).

Qualifications:
- Education: Degree qualified in Banking & Finance.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in real estate finance.

- Internal: Head of Real Estate & Hospitality Finance, Australia, Head of Real Assets APAC, Loan Syndication, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Portfolio Management, and Operations.
- External: Assists senior team members by supporting customer queries and helping with administrative relationship management.
