Osborne Richardson is recruiting an experienced engagement professional to join a Queensland Government department in Townsville, providing strategic communications, stakeholder and issues management advice across a portfolio of major projects.
About the role
As Project Engagement Advisor, you'll be the single point of contact for project teams on all things engagement, giving project managers ongoing strategic advice and leading community, landholder and stakeholder liaison from planning through delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate community engagement for major projects and develop and implement communications strategies
- Provide ongoing strategic advice to project managers and regional management
- Develop stakeholder management strategies and consult with a wide range of interest groups
- Lead landholder engagement and community liaison
- Manage emerging issues and protect the department's reputation, including media responses
- Prepare ministerial and executive correspondence
About you
- Experience managing ministerial and executive correspondence, ideally in an infrastructure setting
- Strong understanding of media, government and regional operations
- Sound knowledge of community engagement practice, and issues and reputation management
- Ability to explain technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
- A curious, adaptable approach, comfortable with changing priorities and open to new ideas
