United Transport Equipment is a modern state of the art fabrication facility in Welshpool, with a young, vibrant and energetic team of Tradespeople, Apprentices and T/A's.

We manufacture Steel Trays and Aluminium Canopies for light vehicles.

Using advanced robotic welding technology, we are able to produce large volumes in a short time period.

We also have our own Amada CNC Laser cutter and CNC Press Brake onsite, as well as a fully equipped paint shop with 2 x Lowbake Ovens.

United Transport Equipment is seeking an

Apprentice Fabricator - Light Vehicle Body Building to join the team at our Welshpool site.

Qualification Title : Certificate III in Automotive Manufacturing Technical Operations The role will be responsible for:

- Assisting in the manufacture of vehicle bodies and accessories, including programming and operating our Robotic Welding systems
- Cutting and processing of materials ready for manufacturing, including Laser cutting and CNC Press Brake operation
- Assisting our Painting team and learning the processes involved
- Operating workshop equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- Assisting in the fitment of vehicle bodies and accessories
- Ensuring the work area is kept clean and tidy
- Maintaining the Company’s equipment and tools
- Attending and passing all TAFE courses that are required
- Building professional relationships with colleagues




- Exhibiting an enthusiasm to learn the tasks that are required
