Programmed Apprenticeships & Traineeships, in partnership with Tronox, is offering an exciting opportunity to join the team at Tronox's Chandala operations as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll work towards a nationally recognised Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30219) while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a large-scale operational environment.

Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll receive structured on-the-job training, guidance and mentoring while developing the practical and technical skills required to build a successful career as a Mechanical Fitter.

As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you'll gain practical experience maintaining, repairing and working with the mechanical equipment and systems that support Tronox's operations.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll have the opportunity to:

- Complete a Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (MEM30219)
- Gain practical, hands-on experience maintaining mechanical plant and equipment
- Learn to interpret drawings and assist with the installation, troubleshooting, repair and modification of mechanical equipment
- Develop skills across both workshop and operational environments
- Learn from experienced tradespeople and industry professionals
- Develop your technical, problem-solving and fault-finding capabilities
- Build strong knowledge of workplace safety, maintenance practices and procedures
- Build the foundations for a rewarding career in the resources and processing industry

What you'll bring We're looking for someone who is motivated,



reliable and genuinely interested in developing a career in the mechanical trade. You'll bring a willingness to learn, an interest in how mechanical equipment works and, most importantly, a strong commitment to working safely.

To be considered, you will need:

- Completion of secondary schooling
- Successful completion of a relevant pre-apprenticeship in mechanical, construction or engineering is highly desirable
- A genuine interest in mechanical fitting, maintenance and hands-on work
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- A reliable, positive and safety-focused approach to work
- An interest in practical, hands-on work within a team environment
- Valuable computer literacy and a willingness to learn new systems
- The ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening

Your workplace - Tronox Chandala Your apprenticeship will be based at Tronox's Chandala operations near Muchea, approximately 57 kilometres north-east of the Perth CBD. There is no public transport to site, so reliable personal transport is essential.

This is a residential position, meaning you'll return home after each shift and there is no camp accommodation onsite. The successful applicant will live within a reasonable commuting distance of Chandala.
