Clerk Grade: 7/8; $116,981 - $129,492 plus super

Employment Type: Ongoing, Fulltime

Location: Parramatta, Sydney - Hybrid prospect. In-office requirement 2-3 days a week as a minimum, which could be subject to change based on applicable DCS workplace policies.

About the team

Government Shared Services (GSS) is a current division in DCS that is leading the way in streamlining processes and transactional shared services to allow our people to better focus on their customers and delivering their services.

We are developing and delivering a roadmap to leverage technology, streamline processes, replace legacy systems and deliver a consistent experience to more than 100+ agencies across 8 NSW Government Departments.

What you will do The Architecture & Strategy Analyst Supports the ICT Enterprise Architecture and Strategy team by reviewing, analysing, and maintaining enterprise strategies, architecture repositories, and supporting functions to enable strategic direction, activity prioritisation, and performance achievement.

Key responsibilities

- Support the strategy development process through comprehensive research and analysis, ensuring well-articulated strategy messages for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Enhance technology investment alignment by analysing planned investments and strategic roadmaps, verifying consistency with Enterprise Architecture models and ensuring accurate linkage with the Technical Debt Register.
- Strengthen architectural coherence by reviewing Client Agency technology plans and submissions for adherence to Enterprise Architecture principles and standards, maintaining up-to-date architecture repositories that reflect strategic alignment.
- Ensure governance integrity by administering and supporting Enterprise Architecture Governance processes, enforcing compliance with established standards and thoroughly reviewing submissions for completeness and stakeholder engagement.
- Optimise architecture accessibility by contributing to the development and maintenance of architecture models, ensuring centralised storage and seamless access for relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain operational efficiency through proactive work task reviews,



allocation, monitoring, reporting and escalation, mitigating risks to service levels and driving continuous improvement.
- Foster cooperative partnerships by supporting Client Agency relationships and networks with effective communication, negotiation, and issue resolution, facilitating optimal service delivery and stakeholder engagement.

- Navigating complexity of multiple stakeholders, legacy systems and siloed departments.
- Balancing current and new architectures and resources in the context of competing business demands
- Developing, maintaining and managing relationships and communications with a wide range of key stakeholders while driving a client service environment to ensure best possible architectural outcomes.

About you You are curious about how technology can improve services and business outcomes, and you are motivated to build your understanding of enterprise architecture, technology strategy and governance. You enjoy researching complex issues, analysing information and translating your findings into clear, practical advice.

You bring a structured and detail-oriented approach, with an appreciation for why standards, assurance and governance are essential to responsible technology investment and delivery. You communicate confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders, build productive relationships and are comfortable working across competing priorities in a changing environment.
