This opportunity is with a leading electrical infrastructure organisation delivering high voltage transmission and distribution projects across NSW.

With a strong pipeline of infrastructure and contestable works, the business is continuing to grow its engineering capability and is looking for an experienced ASP3 Design Engineer to support the design and delivery of high voltage network projects.

Your Current Role

As the ASP3 Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of high voltage transmission and distribution mains projects across NSW, working across overhead lines, underground cables and substation-related works.

This is a technical design position suited to an experienced ASP3 Design Engineer, Mains Design Engineer or Electrical Engineer with strong contestable works experience and a solid understanding of NSW network standards and approval processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop detailed ASP3 designs for high voltage overhead and underground mains projects
- Work across OH lines, underground cables and substation related works, ideally at 66kV-132kV
- Prepare designs, drawings, work packs,



reports and technical documentation in line with project requirements
- Ensure designs meet relevant network standards, specifications, safety requirements and approval processes
- Conduct Safety in Design reviews and incorporate constructability considerations into designs
- Provide technical support to construction teams and collaborate with clients, network providers and internal stakeholders

Your Experience To succeed in this role, you will bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years’ experience in ASP3 contestable works, with a focus on transmission and distribution mains
- Strong experience designing high voltage networks above 33kV, ideally 66kV and above
- Experience across overhead lines, underground cables and substation related works, with 132kV experience highly regarded
- Experience with PLS-CADD, CYMCAP, NEARA and AutoCAD is desirable
