Operating across multiple business divisions and servicing customers throughout Western Australia, this organisation is recognised for its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Due to ongoing growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their collaborative finance team.

Your new role

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of a well-established organisation based near Perth Airport. This varied role will see you take ownership of general ledger maintenance, month-end reporting, reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and compliance activities. You will also work closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll teams, while contributing to SAP reporting, process improvement initiatives, and the ongoing optimisation of finance systems.

Key responsibilities include

Monthly accounts preparation and reconciliations

General ledger and trial balance maintenance

Cashflow forecasting and fixed asset management

BAS, FBT and audit support

SAP reporting and SAP FI/CO process ownership

Job costing reviews and financial analysis

Process improvement and automation projects

Cross-functional collaboration across the finance team

What you'll need to succeed





Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar accounting positionTertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

CPA or CA studies commenced or completed will be highly regarded.

Strong understanding of month-end accounting processes and reconciliations

Experience supporting BAS, FBT, and annual audit requirements

Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments A proactive approach to process improvement and business efficiency initiatives
