Role Description The Assistant Accountant will support the finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks, including processing invoices, recording transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. This contract, remote role will involve assisting with accounts payable and receivable, preparing basic financial reports, and reconciling bank statements.

Accountant will help monitor expenses, support month-end closing activities, and ensure compliance with internal financial procedures.



The role will also include regular communication with internal stakeholders to clarify financial data and support general administrative tasks related to accounting.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.
- Ability to prepare and reconcile financial records, including invoices, ledgers, and bank statements.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Relevant education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (certificate, diploma, or degree preferred).
- Prior experience in an assistant or junior accounting role is an advantage.
- Comfort working with digital tools and cloud-based systems in a fast-paced, creative studio setting.
