About the role:

The purpose of this position is to support the finance and accounting team by maintaining financial records, processing transactions, preparing reports, and assisting with month-end and year-end accounting activities. This role helps ensure the accuracy of financial information and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position requires assisting the Accounts Supervisor in managing Accounts Receivable function.

Our office is based in Banksmeadow , Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

- Control and manage end to end Accounts Receivable function.
- Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities).
- Analysis of non-trading costs allocation.
- Assist with daily and monthly bank reconciliation.
- Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual statements.
- Assist with performing monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation.




- GST reconciliation and lodgement of monthly activity statements.
- Assist with preparing annual budgets (for the entire company and by department).
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Preparing monthly depreciation and maintain Fixed Asset Register.
- Prepare monthly prepayment schedule.
- Posting monthly journals.
- Assisting audit with external auditor or other audit tasks.
- Assisting the tasks with other finance members when required.
- Other duties may be assigned.

About You:

- Proven work experience as an Assistant Accountant or similar role.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and solid knowledge of accounting regulations.
- Excellent math skills with an attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and confident in dealing with different stakeholders within and outside organisation.
- Time-management and problem-solving abilities.
- Desire to obtain CA/CPA accreditation.
