Founded in 1952, Paspaley is a diverse group of companies. Whilst its core business is pearling, including pearl production, wholesale and retail, it also has extensive involvement in the aviation industry, the rural industry and commercial property.

Our pearling operation is extensive and spans coastal regions from Exmouth, WA around to the north of Darwin, NT. Our pearl farms are positioned amongst some of the world's most spectacular coastline and unique marine environments.

We seek an experienced and reliable Trade Assistant / Assistant farm Mechanic to work in our Darwin Engineering Division. The position is FIFO - based out of Darwin(2 on 1 off) to our remote Pearl farm sites carrying out the below tasks on our pearling vessels and associated machinery:

- Scheduled servicing
- Breakdown repairs
- Parts ordering
- Ad hoc repairs
- Site Preparation: Setting up and cleaning workspaces
- Tool and Equipment Handling: Transporting materials, cleaning tools, and operating equipment.
- Safety Duties:



Monitoring workspaces for hazards and complying with strict OH&S; standards.
- Assisting other trades

The successful candidates must:
- Have Mechanical experience
- Hold a current driver's license
- Have Australian Citizenship or Residency with full work rights
- Be able to pass a Pre-Employment medical and Drug and Alcohol test
- Be a resident of Darwin or willing to relocate, this position is Darwin based.

Applicants with previous labour experience, forklift license and first aid qualification will be highly regarded. All employees will be subject to a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing.
