Pulteney Grammar School is seeking an experienced and passionate Performing Arts educator to join our team as Assistant Head of Performing Arts – Junior School, commencing in 2027.

Working closely with the Head of Performing Arts, this role will provide leadership and operational oversight of the Junior School Performing Arts program across Music, Dance, Drama, Digital Music and Music Theatre, including curriculum, co-curricular activities, performances and special events.

The position is a 1.0 FTE permanent teaching appointment, comprising 0.8 FTE classroom teaching and a 0.2 FTE Position of Responsibility, tenured for three years.

The successful candidate will be an engaging and collaborative educator who can:

- Lead and support Junior School productions, performances and events.
- Coordinate ensembles, choirs and other performance opportunities.
- Develop creative and inclusive Performing Arts programs.
- Build robust relationships with students, staff and families.
- Support the coordination of the peripatetic instrumental music program.
- Maintain high expectations for student participation and performance.
- Coordinate the annual Years 3–6 celebratory performance.





Applicants will have relevant tertiary qualifications in Music, Drama or Dance education/performance, experience teaching in the Performing Arts, strong organisational and communication skills, and current or eligible South Australian Teacher Registration.
