Join our Maternity team as an Assistant in Midwifery – Casual, supporting women, babies and families through their maternity journey. Working under the supervision of midwives, you will provide safe, compassionate and woman-centred care while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.

- Support midwifery staff in delivering safe, evidence‑based postnatal care
- Monitor maternal wellbeing and assist with recovery needs
- Guide parents in newborn care, helping build confidence during an exciting and sometimes overwhelming time

Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.





- Current enrollment in and successful completion of at least 2 semesters of a Bachelor of Midwifery with a satisfactory academic record and completion of at least 2 clinical placements.
- How do you demonstrate your ability to provide safe, compassionate and culturally responsive care under supervision, while working within your scope of practice?
- Describe how you communicate and work effectively with women, families, carers and the multidisciplinary team to identify and respond to care needs.
- Provide an example of how you have used critical thinking and contributed to safe practice, including risk management, work health and safety, quality improvement, or resolving a workplace conflict.
