About the role The Assistant Nursing Director – Research provides expert leadership, strategic advice and specialist research expertise to advance research capability, capacity and performance across Community and Oral Health (COH). Working within the Innovation and Research Centre, this role promotes a culture of interprofessional research, supports evidence-based practice, and drives the integration of research outcomes into healthcare delivery to improve patient care and service outcomes.

The successful candidate will lead and support research programs, mentor clinicians undertaking research, develop collaborative partnerships with academic and healthcare stakeholders, and facilitate funding, ethics and governance processes. The role also contributes to building a sustainable research culture through research promotion, grant development, publication, reporting and the implementation of initiatives that enhance research productivity across nursing, allied health and medical professions.

About you

- Lead and manage clinical research initiatives that strengthen research capability and productivity across Community and Oral Health.
- Provide strategic research leadership,



expert advice and mentorship to clinicians and emerging researchers.
- Develop research protocols, coordinate ethics and governance approvals, and support grant funding applications.
- Build cooperative partnerships with academic institutions, health services and stakeholders to enhance research opportunities.
- Promote the translation of research evidence into practice through publications, presentations and research reporting.
