We are seeking an experienced 2IC / Assistant Venue Manager to join our team at the Quarrymans Hotel based in Pyrmont. Quarrymans Hotel is a vibrant local favourite in the heart of Pyrmont. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality food and beverage offering, and strong connection to the local community, Quarrymans is a venue that prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences every day.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you are responsible for but not limited to:

- Efficiently running the day-to-day operations
- Leading the team to deliver exceptional customer experience
- Strong knowledge in all aspects of running a busy hotel
- Experienced in planning and managing functions
- Recruitment, induction and training of all department teams
- Overseeing development of service offerings and continuous product improvement
- Lead, motivate and inspire your team to fulfil their potential through cultivation of an inclusive workplace culture
- Roster management according to business needs
- Managing Maintenance and venue appearance

WHO ARE YOU As a driven, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes and skills:

- Minimum 2 years' experience in an Assistant Venue Manager role or supervisor
- Demonstrated experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment
- Ability to lead by example, share knowledge, and motivate a team
- Immaculate presentation standards and a strong focus on exceptional guest service
- Excellent communication and leadership skills




- Professional, driven, and a strong team player
- Demonstrated ability to achieve personal, venue, and company goals while meeting deadlines
- Proactive individual who thrives on responsibility and takes initiative when bringing ideas to the table
- Strong gaming knowledge is essential
- Current RSA, RCG and ARCG qualifications
- Flexibility to work a roster that is predominantly evening shifts, with most finishes around 12:30am, alongside some day shifts
- Willingness to take a hands-on approach to operations, including regular shifts behind the bar as part of our close-knit management team

Renumeration will be commensurate with experience.
