We are looking for an Associate Director - Institutional Business to join the team in Melbourne, Australia.

This role supports the Senior Institutional Sales Directors in developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, investment consultants, and key stakeholders in order to grow the business. It coordinates client servicing activities, and the preparation of sales reports and materials. The role also acts as a liaison across various investment and business support teams to ensure the timely delivery of client information and high-quality client experience.

How will you add value?

Institutional Client Support

- Assist in preparing for client meetings, investment reviews, due diligence meetings and consultant presentations.
- Attend client and consultant meetings and contribute to relationship management activities.
- Coordinate responses to client requests, information requirements and follow-up actions.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities and business development activities.
- Identify emerging opportunities arising from changes in asset allocation, governance structures and regulatory developments.

Business Development Support

- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and developing prospect profiles.
- Maintain institutional market and client databases.
- Support pipeline management and reporting activities.
- Contribute to strategic account plans for priority institutional clients.

Consultant &

- Research Support





- Assist in coordinating relationships with investment consultants.
- Support institutional consultant database updates, questionnaire responses and research submissions.
- Monitor institutional consultant research activity and identify relevant opportunities for investment capabilities.

Investment Strategy &

- Product Support

- Develop a detailed understanding of the firm's investment capabilities across equities, fixed income, multi-asset solutions, alternatives, private credit, private equity secondaries, real assets and other private market strategies.
- Support the preparation of investment presentations, portfolio reviews and business development materials.
- Work closely with product specialists and investment teams to understand investment positioning and market developments.
- Assist in analysing investment performance, portfolio characteristics and market trends for client discussions.

Superannuation &

- Market Research

- Build a strong understanding of the Australian institutional investment landscape.
- Monitor industry developments, including superannuation fund strategies and asset allocation changes
- APRA and ASIC regulatory developments
- Performance Test considerations; internalisation trends among superannuation funds; responsible investment and sustainability developments; and private market investment trends.
- Produce market intelligence and client briefing materials for internal stakeholders.

Internal Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key point of coordination for the Institutional Sales Directors and internal partners, including product and investment specialists and investment teams. Support the Sales Directors by gathering timely information and insights relating to live and prospective sales activities.




- Coordinate internal resources to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of client-related initiatives.
- Support RFPs, DDQs and mandate opportunities.

What will help you be successful in this role? Knowledge, Education, And Experience

- Minimum 5 years' experience within investment management, institutional sales, consultant relations, asset consulting, investment research, product strategy or a related field.

- Knowledge of institutional investment markets and client servicing environments is preferred.
- Knowledge in private markets would be beneficial.
- Experience supporting sophisticated investors, consultants or investment teams would be highly regarded.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Business or a related discipline.
- CFA program enrolment or postgraduate investment-related study preferred.
- Strong academic achievement and commitment to ongoing career development.

Travel Requirements

- Regular travel in Australia and, on occasion, overseas.
