Building Services Mechanical Engineers in Melbourne, I’ve got options for you.

I’m currently working on five genuinely different Mechanical Engineering opportunities, ranging from Senior Engineer through to Associate Director.

There’s a solid data centre thread running through several of them, but they are not five versions of the same job. The consultancies, projects, team structures and long-term opportunities are all quite different.

The roles include

- Associate or Associate Director Mechanical Engineer with a global engineering consultancy delivering hyperscale data centre projects. A senior technical and client-facing role with the opportunity to work on major projects across Australia and internationally.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer with an established independent consultancy. This would suit someone ambitious who wants to develop under experienced senior leaders, take on more responsibility and build towards Associate level.
- Associate Mechanical Engineer with the same independent consultancy, but with a different brief. This role is for someone who can bring a sector focus, help grow a team and have a real say in the future direction of the business.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer with a major tier-one multidisciplinary consultancy. You’ll work across a broad project portfolio including data centres, infrastructure, defence and health,



backed by strong technical resources and established national teams.
- Senior Mechanical Engineer joining a global data centre owner and operator. This is an opportunity to move to the client side and work closely with consultants, contractors and internal teams across the design and delivery of major data centre developments.

What you’ll need
- Mechanical Building Services experience within an engineering consultancy
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or relevant tertiary qualification
- Australian building services experience
- Strong HVAC design and technical capability appropriate to your level
- Experience coordinating with clients, architects and other engineering disciplines
- The ability to manage projects and mentor junior engineers at Senior level
- CPEng, NER or Victorian Professional Engineer registration will put you ahead of the pack
- Data centre experience is highly regarded and essential for some of the roles, but not all of them
