Automotive Accessory Fitter – Gilani Engineering

Location: Wetherill Park, Sydney NSW

Gilani Engineering is seeking a practical, reliable Automotive Accessory Fitter to join our workshop team. You will work on commercial vehicle fitouts, automotive accessories and specialised vehicle modifications.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in a clean finish and can complete installations accurately and efficiently.

Your responsibilities include:

- Installing vehicle accessories, shelving, drawers, cargo barriers, roof racks, steps, flooring and interior protection.
- Assisting with wheelchair access equipment, seating systems and other specialised vehicle modifications.
- Measuring, marking, drilling, cutting, assembling and securely fitting components.
- Following installation instructions, drawings and job specifications.
- Checking fitment, alignment, operation and finish before handing over completed work.
- Meeting agreed job timeframes and reporting issues promptly.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workspace.

We are looking for someone with:

- Experience in automotive accessory fitting, vehicle assembly, mechanical work, fabrication or a similar hands-on role.
- Confidence using hand tools and power tools.




- Good mechanical understanding and practical problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Reliability, punctuality and clear communication.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current driver’s licence.

Experience with commercial van fitouts, 4WD accessories, mobility equipment, basic automotive wiring or welding will be highly regarded. Relevant trade qualifications are an advantage, although applicants with strong practical fitting experience are encouraged to apply.
