Our client in Bunbury WA, Australia, is looking for a qualified and experienced Automotive Machinist / Metal Machinist to join their specialist workshop, servicing the mining, marine, landfill and power-generation industries. The business specialises in the precision machining, repair and reclamation of CAT and Cummins heavy-duty diesel engine components.

What you'll be working on:

- CAT & Cummins engine blocks
- Crankshafts & camshafts
- Cylinder heads
- Ancillary and other precision-machined components
- Specialist engine component repair and reclamation

Requirements: We want an experienced machinist who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of precision, quality and accuracy.

- Recognised Automotive Machinist / Metal Machinist trade qualification or equivalent.
- Substantial experience operating Rottler engine machining equipment
- Experience machining CAT and/or Cummins components




- Extensive crankshaft repair, grinding and regrinding experience
- Solid experience in automotive or heavy-duty diesel machining.
- Robust understanding of machining tolerances, measurement and inspection.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled team.
- A genuine commitment to quality workmanship.
- Extensive crankshaft repair, grinding and regrinding experience
- Heavy-duty diesel or mining industry experience
- Experience with engine block and cylinder head machining
