JOB TITLE: Bar Attendant

JOB TYPE: Full time

LOCATION: Goldfields Hotel Motel, Tennant Creek NT

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare, serve and sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to pub patrons, motel guests and other customers.

· Take drink and meal orders, operate point-of-sale systems and process cash and electronic payments accurately.

· Check identification where required and comply with responsible service of alcohol requirements and venue procedures.

· Maintain bar presentation by cleaning service areas and glassware and replenishing refrigerators, shelves and beverage supplies.

· Assist with receiving, rotating and counting beverage stock and advise the supervisor when stock requires replenishment.

· Provide customer service and respond to routine enquiries about meals, motel accommodation and venue facilities.

· Coordinate with kitchen staff during meal service, including taking or delivering food orders where required as part of normal pub operations.





· Monitor the bar environment and promptly report intoxication, disturbances, safety issues or equipment problems to the supervisor or manager.

· Assist with opening, closing and routine cleaning duties associated with the licensed premises.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: No formal qualification required; Certificate II in Hospitality (SIT20322) is desirable. Current NT-approved Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (SITHFAB021) is required, or must be obtained before commencing bar duties.

Experience: Previous experience in a pub, bar, hotel or similar licensed hospitality venue is desirable.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
