JOB TITLE: Bar Attendant Supervisor

LOCATION: Goldfields Hotel Motel, Tennant Creek NT

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

· Supervise the day-to-day operation of the licensed bar and provide hands-on service alongside bar attendants.

· Allocate bar duties, assist with staff rosters and supervise and train bar attendants.

· Prepare, serve and sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and ensure customers are served professionally and promptly.

· Supervise point-of-sale transactions, cash handling and end-of-shift reconciliation and report discrepancies to management.

· Monitor beverage stock, conduct or assist with stocktakes and arrange replenishment or ordering through management.

· Ensure bar service areas, refrigerators, glassware and equipment are clean, safe and ready for service.

· Support compliance with liquor licensing, responsible service of alcohol, venue procedures and any applicable gaming or Keno requirements.

· Monitor patron behaviour and respond appropriately to intoxication, disturbances, service issues and safety concerns, escalating serious incidents to management.





· Coordinate with the kitchen and other staff during meal periods so food and beverage service operates efficiently.

· Assist with opening and closing procedures and maintain accurate shift and stock records.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications: Certificate III in Hospitality (SIT30622) or higher, or equivalent; alternatively, at least two years of relevant bar experience including supervisory responsibilities. Current NT-approved Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (SITHFAB021) is required. Responsible gambling training is required where supervising gaming or Keno.

Experience: Relevant experience in a pub, bar, hotel or other licensed venue, including demonstrated experience supervising or training bar staff.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
