The Opportunity

We’re looking for our next extraordinary team member to join our Food & Beverage team as a Bartender across Esprit Noir and Le Rivage.

This role gives you the opportunity to work across two unique Sofitel venues. Esprit Noir, our sophisticated lobby bar, is a stylish space where guests can enjoy cocktails, wine and premium beverages in a relaxed and elegant setting. Le Rivage, our poolside bar, brings a more vibrant and laid-back atmosphere, where guests can enjoy refreshing drinks and the Sydney sunshine.

As a Bartender, you’ll bring your beverage knowledge, technical skill and personality to both environments. You’ll craft cocktails, champagne, wine and beverages to a high standard while confidently engaging with guests, making recommendations and creating memorable experiences. Whether you’re behind the bar at Esprit Noir or serving guests poolside at Le Rivage, you’ll adapt your service style while maintaining the quality and warmth that defines Sofitel.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, champagne, spirits and other beverages to Sofitel standards.
- Deliver warm, engaging and personalised service across both Esprit Noir and Le Rivage.




- Confidently recommend beverages based on guest preferences and demonstrate solid product knowledge.
- Adapt your service style to suit the sophisticated atmosphere of Esprit Noir and the relaxed poolside setting of Le Rivage.
- Maintain excellent presentation of the bar, equipment, glassware and service areas throughout each shift.
- Ensure beverages are prepared consistently, accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with taking orders, processing transactions and maintaining accurate guest accounts.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment, stocktakes, ordering and minimising wastage.
- Maintain responsible service of alcohol standards at all times.
- Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Respond to guest requests and concerns professionally, taking ownership wherever possible.
- Support your colleagues during busy service periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Look for opportunities to create memorable moments and exceed guest expectations.

About You

You’re a passionate hospitality professional who loves being behind the bar, connecting with guests and creating memorable experiences. You enjoy variety and are excited by the opportunity to work across both a sophisticated lobby bar and a relaxed poolside environment.

You bring:

- Previous bartending or beverage service experience, ideally within a premium, luxury or high-volume hospitality environment.




- A genuine passion for cocktails, wine, champagne and exceptional guest service.
- Solid beverage and product knowledge, with the confidence to make recommendations and engage with guests.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering beverages with consistency and presentation.
- A warm, confident and charismatic personality with a natural ability to connect with guests.
- The ability to adapt your approach to different service environments and guest expectations.
- The ability to remain calm, organised and attentive during busy service periods.
- A strong team mentality and willingness to support your colleagues wherever needed.
- A genuine “can do” attitude and passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
- A current RSA certificate.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
