About the Role

As a Rigger with West Coast Projects, you will support mechanical maintenance, shutdown and construction activities by safely planning and executing lifting and rigging tasks across mining and industrial environments.

You will work closely with mechanical and maintenance teams to safely rig, move, install and remove equipment and components.

Key responsibilities include:

- 3+ years rigging experience in mining, processing, construction, or heavy industry.
- Experience in conveyor maintenance environments.
- Participation in shutdown maintenance campaigns.
- Experience working with cranes and lifting equipment.
- Experience rigging mechanical equipment over 500 kg.
- Rig roller and roller frame replacements
- Rig and assist with pulley change-outs
- Support take-up system maintenance
- Rig gearbox removals and installations
- Rig motor removals and installations
- Support conveyor drive station maintenance
- Assist with structural conveyor maintenance activities
- Safely operate and use rigging equipment and lifting accessories
- Work with cranes and other lifting equipment
- Conduct lifting and rigging activities in accordance with site procedures and secure work practices
- Assist mechanical trades during shutdown and maintenance activities
- Inspect lifting equipment and rigging gear before use
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity

About You To be considered for this position, you will have:

- High Risk Work Licence – Basic Rigging (RB) or Intermediate Rigging (RI)
- Construction White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Previous experience working in shutdown environments
- Strong understanding of safe lifting and rigging practices




- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Australian Working Rights

Highly Desirable The following qualifications, experience and competencies will be highly regarded:

- BHP or Rio Tinto site inductions
- EWP Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Telehandler experience/licence
- First Aid certification
- Conveyor belt maintenance, including roller, frame, pulley and drive component change-outs
- Bearing installation and alignment
- Experience with crushers, stackers and reclaimers
