About the role

Hill Furnishings is a family-run bedhead manufacturer in the Noosa Hinterland. We make upholstered bedheads for our own brand and wholesale partners. We are looking for someone to train in our workshop and then take on the role as one of the main production people. No previous experience needed. You need to be keen to learn and committed to the job. Start on 3 days per week, moving to 5 days once you're competent.

Pay starts at training rate, with increases as production increases and you work more independently.

Key responsibilities

- Building upholstered bedhead subframes from timber
- Gluing and fitting foam to frames
- Upholstering bedheads (staple, tension fabric, finish edges)
- Packing finished bedheads for freight
- Keeping the work area tidy and following workshop process





About you

- Keen to learn and take the work seriously
- Committed and reliable with the days you agree to
- Comfortable with physical workshop work (lifting heavy frames, standing, using staple guns and basic power tools)
- Positive attention to detail and pride in what you're making
- Happy working in a small team and taking responsibility for your work
- No trade or factory experience required
