Afrimat Lyttelton, based in Centurion has a vacancy for a:

Boilermaker/ Welder

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification
- Qualified Boilermaker/Welder (Trade Test Certificate).
- 2–3 years' experience in either Boilermaking or Welding.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc).
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
- Robust understanding of workplace health and safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Medically fit in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license
- Own reliable vehicle

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited To)

- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment according to specifications
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding techniques as required




- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Cut, shape, bend, and weld metal components to required tolerances
- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance on plant and equipment
- Carry out quality checks and inspections on completed work
- Carry out fitting work
- Complete work orders/job cards as required using the relevant systems
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures on site
