About the Job

Immediate start opportunities are available within our Plug & Mould Shed, part of Riviera’s New Product Development team.

The work focuses on the construction, preparation and finishing of plugs and moulds used in the development of new Riviera yacht models.

There are roles available for different levels of skills and experience as below:

- Qualified / Highly Skilled Experienced Plug & Mould Builders or qualified tradespeople from Marine Craft Construction, carpentry, cabinetmaking, patternmaking or similar. Work can include plug and mould construction, modifications, precision finishing and problem solving, with potential to develop into senior or leadership responsibilities.

- Experienced / Transferable Skills Experience in panel beating, spray painting, pool building, fibreglass, laminating, composites, woodworking or similar. Your existing skills in shaping, fairing, surface preparation, finishing or laminating can transfer well into marine tooling.

- Developing / Trade Assistant Level For practical people looking to develop their hands-on manufacturing skills. Work focuses on the fundamentals of plug and mould preparation and finishing, including surface preparation, fairing, shaping, detailing and achieving a high-quality finish while working alongside experienced tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities Depending on your skills and experience:

- Plug and mould construction, repair and modification
- Surface preparation, sanding, fairing,



shaping and detailing
- Polishing and finishing
- Gelcoat application and fibreglass lamination
- Mould maintenance and upkeep
- Assisting with vacuum processes
- Working from drawings and instructions
- Using hand and power tools
