Qualified Boilermaker or Welder looking for your next permanent role in Muswellbrook? Schlam Payload is growing its team, and we’re looking for skilled trade-qualified Boilermakers and Welders to manufacture, repair and maintain some of the mining industry’s hardest-working truck bodies and buckets.

This is an opportunity to secure permanent local work, competitive hourly rates and regular overtime, with the choice of permanent day shift or a fortnightly rotating day/night roster.

If you have experience in heavy fabrication, mining equipment, heavy mobile plant or structural welding, we want to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

- Fabricating, welding and assembling heavy-duty mining truck bodies and buckets
- Working on Schlam’s premium Hercules and Barracuda products
- Completing repairs and maintenance on heavy mining equipment
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Working to high fabrication, welding and quality standards
- Inspecting equipment and maintaining a safe, organised work workplace
- Completing required safety and job documentation

What we’re looking for

- Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Boilermaker or Welder
- Ability to successfully complete an in-house weld test
- Experience in heavy fabrication, structural welding, heavy mobile plant repairs or maintenance
- Strong welding and fabrication skills




- Sound knowledge of fabrication equipment, tools and safe work practices
- A safety-first attitude and pride in producing quality work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Bridge and Gantry Crane
