About the Role

As a Boilermaker, you will be responsible for structural fabrication, welding, repairs and maintenance across mining conveyor systems and associated equipment in the Pilbara.

You will work across shutdown and operational environments, carrying out fabrication and maintenance activities safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

- Safely perform conveyor roller and roller frame change-outs
- Inspect, repair and maintain conveyor structures and steelwork
- Identify and repair cracked welds, corrosion and structural defects
- Fabricate and install conveyor components using drawings and field measurements
- Perform field welding and fabrication
- Complete welding repairs to conveyor frames, chutes, guards and support structures
- Assist with shutdown maintenance and conveyor rebuild activities
- Read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings
- Complete inspections and maintain quality standards
- Work safely in accordance with mining, hot work, confined space and working-at-heights requirements
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity

About You To be considered for this position, you will have:

- Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaker/Welder) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years post-trade experience in mining, bulk materials handling or heavy industry
- Experience working on mining conveyor systems and structures
- Experience completing roller and roller frame replacements
- Proven field welding and fabrication experience
- Previous shutdown maintenance experience
- Construction White Card
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Working at Heights certification
- Confined Space Entry certification
- Current welding qualifications, where applicable
- Australian Working Rights
- Strong commitment to safety and quality




- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly Desirable The following qualifications, experience and competencies will be highly regarded:

- BHP or Rio Tinto site inductions
- Dogging or Basic Rigging Licence
- EWP Licence
- Forklift Licence
- Telehandler experience/licence
- First Aid certification
- Conveyor belt maintenance, including roller, frame, pulley and drive component change-outs
- Bearing installation and alignment
- Experience with crushers, stackers and reclaimers
